The Benedictine Youth Conference, the triennial conference for student leaders in Benedictine schools, was held at St. Benedict's Abbey and College in Atchison, Kansas from July 16-19, 2017, and featured sixty students from Benedictine secondary schools throughout the USA.

Ms. Molly Buccola, campus minister at Woodside Priory School in Portola Valley, California, served as General of the conference. Delbarton School Religion Teacher and Campus Ministry Director Dr. David Hajduk coordinated the prayer services.

Delbarton student leaders present included CJ Gasser '19, James Santoro '18, Conor Ketchum '20, and Brendan Wallace '18.

The students joined the monks for Mass and Vespers each day. Students organized various workshops and other prayer services, including l ectio divina, with different schools taking responsibility for different activities.

Pictured above with the entire group of conference staff and participants, is Abbot President Elias Lorenzo, OSB, who celebrated the final Mass, in which each student was commissioned to bring the conference's spirit back to his or her school and received a Benedictine medal.
