The Crotty Family arrived in New Jersey from Minnesota in 1994 with their six children - four daughters and two sons - unaware that Delbarton School and the Benedictine monks of St. Mary’s Abbey would come to shape their family’s life in such profound ways. At the time, Lucy and Jerry Crotty knew little about New Jersey and had never heard of Delbarton. What began as a move soon became the start of a lifelong relationship founded in faith, community, and shared values. As the Crotty family has expanded across generations and around the world, Delbarton has remained a constantly shared touchstone that shaped their values, strengthened their bonds, and left an indelible mark on their lives. For this extraordinary gift, the Crottys remain deeply grateful to St. Mary’s Abbey and the Benedictine community for their profound and lasting impact on their family.
