From November 21–23, 2025, Prior Edward Seton Fittin, O.S.B., attended the annual meeting of priors from Benedictine monasteries across North America. This year’s gathering was graciously hosted by the monks of St. Benedict’s Priory in Benet Lake, Wisconsin.
Monastic leaders from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Washington, D.C., Illinois, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Missouri, and Mexico were present, representing three congregations within the Benedictine Confederation.
The keynote presenter was Deacon Steven DeMartino, a respected consultant with the Conference of Major Superiors of Men and the St. John Vianney Center. In addition to praying the Divine Office and celebrating Mass together, the priors engaged in open and fruitful discussions on a wide range of topics related to the unique responsibilities and challenges of their ministry.
The weekend also provided an opportunity for fraternity and relaxation, highlighted by a festive dinner on Saturday evening at a local Italian restaurant.
